[10-Jun-10] : ProvideX Version 9.10
Sage Software Canada Ltd. announces the availability of ProvideX and WindX version 9.10. This release introduces several important new features including:
- New 'VE' system parameter to control if file segments are ERASE'd or RENAMEed.
- ADD INDEX and DROP INDEX on dynamic memory files.
- Updates to the ADO interface to further improve performance (Windows ONLY).
- Auto-complete support for the Grid Control (Core Language and NOMADS).
- Direct ADO support added to Queries and Views.

Note:
The '4D' visual style of check boxes and radio buttons has changed for
Vista and Windows 7. Windows now controls the drawing of these controls
by default. This results in the background colour and check mark colour
now being totally under the control of the active Windows theme. To have
the old behaviour, allowing these items to change, add to your
application's initialization routine.

[01-Mar-10] : ProvideX Plug-in for Eclipse v1.7.4.p02
Sage Software Canada Ltd. is pleased to announce Version 1.7.4.p02 of the ProvideX Plug-in for Eclipse.
This is a maintenance release of the ProvideX Plug-in for Eclipse. It includes more flexibility for assigning the line number increment used when building programs and adds the project-specific properties 'NOMADS_AltDictDir' and 'StripLeadingWhiteSpace'.
Additional information about the available features of the plug-in can be found in the documentation (Help Contents | ProvideX Developer User Guide) that is included with the plug-in.
This version of the ProvideX Plug-in for Eclipse was built using Java 1.5.0_15.
Note:
This plug-in includes tools that are designed to modify source code;
e.g., the Style Check Utility. Every precaution has been taken to ensure
that they work as expected; however, please be careful and verify any
large-scale changes made to your source code when using these tools.

Sage Software Canada Ltd. announces the availability of JavX Version
3.0.
As of this release, the JavX thin-client has been extensively updated with new features and enhancements, including:
- Enhanced support for formatted MULTI_LINEs
- Enhanced GRID Support
- New Glasspane progress panel
- Enhanced FIN function
- New Javxprofiler class
- Added support for the DIRECTORY directive
- Enhanced SYSTEM_HELP Directive
- Enhanced web browser integration
- New '6D' lookandfeel with Discloseable frames
NOTE:
Deployment of the JavX thin-client requires plug-in access to ProvideX
on a server (either Add-on Pkg: 20013, Professional, eCommerce, or DEMO
activation).
This version requires a minimum of Java 1.6.10 Runtime Environment (JRE).

[31-Oct-07].: ProvideX ODBC v4.21
Sage Software Canada Ltd. announces the availability of an of ProvideX
ODBC Version 4.21.
This is a minor maintenance release. Some of the items covered in this
version include:
- new LIMIT / OFFSET SQL syntax
- clean restart of ODBC server after abnormal shutdown
- increased character limit for UCASE/LCASE scalar functions
Further details are listed in the readme file, which is included
in the ODBC Version 4.21 installation package.

[28-Sep-09] : UltraFX - Eclipse RCP Thin-Client
Sage Software Canada Ltd. announces the availability of UltraFX v1.1.
UltraFX is a platform-independent GUI environment designed for energizing the look and feel of your ProvideX applications. This thin-client delivers many built-in features, including toolbars (coolbars), dockable-stackable-moveable windows, split panes, embedded web browser, and an instant PDF creator (for client-side printing).
UltraFX is built on the Eclipse RCP framework, which is the powerful user interface at the core of the Eclipse IDE. However, ProvideX applications do not need to be developed in Eclipse to run under UltraFX. For more on Eclipse RCP, refer to the website http://wiki.eclipse.org/RCP.
Deployment of UltraFX requires plug-in access to ProvideX on a server (either Add-on Pkg: 20013, Professional, or DEMO activation) and Add-on Pkg: 20016 or v9 eCommerce Bundle.

Application Server
Sage Software Canada Ltd. is pleased to announce Version 1.0 of the ProvideX Rich Internet Application Server (PRIAS).
PRIAS is the next generation Application Server that unlocks the functionality of your ProvideX software and transforms it into a genuine internet-enabled application.
It provides HTTP(S) communication between the ProvideX client and host process and is faster, and more scalable than the current ProvideX Application Server.
Use of PRIAS requires a V9 license with eCommerce bundle or Application Server Add-on package 20009.
